Callistemon SCARLET FLAME™

Callistemon viminalis ‘CC19’ Scarlet Flame™ PP25,023

Callistemon viminalis ‘CC19’ PPAF – A seedling selection of C. ‘Captain Cook’, this dwarf bottlebrush shrub was selected for its compact size, fine leaf texture and great auburn-colored new foliage.  Loads of rose-pink “bottlebrush” flowers in spring and autumn.  Scarlet Flame is a great alternative to Callistemon ‘Little John’: it is more hardy, has nicer foliage and a bigger/better flower and bloom habit (and self-cleaning to boot!).  Best in Zones 9-11.  Breeder: Todd Layt, Ozbreed Pty. Ltd.

  • Auburn-colored new growth in spring & fall
